Invitation to the demonstration to call for the release of all political prisoners and support who have recently been placed in solitary confinement

Dear brothers and sisters

We would kindly like to request you all, to participate and support the demonstration that we are going to have, calling for the release of all political prisoners in Burma immediately and unconditionally.

We would like to have this demonstration to show our support to the 7 political prisoners in Burma who have recently been placed in solitary confinement in other terms “Dog Cells”. It is famous for brutal torture and extreme punishment for prisoners in the most notorious Insein Prison in Burma. Most of them are high political figures, serving long term prison sentences as a result of fighting for Human Rights for the people in Burma.

We are so much concerned about their safety and their exposure to the inhumane torture under the Burmese government's notorious regime. We are also concerned about the safety of many other political prisoners after they have underwent a hunger strike due to the horrible prison conditions, denial of proper medical treatment and basis rights of a prisoner. In addition, there are still 20,65 political prisoners who remain behind bars, living constantly under the threat of these hardship during serving their long term prison sentences.

We are going to have demonstrations till appropriate actions on this unfair treatment to all political prisoners are taken by the Burmese military government sensibly and effectively. Brothers and sisters, this time is very vital for us to show our solidarity to stand by all political prisoners who have sacrificed enormously to achieve the genuine freedom of our country.

We would respectfully like to request all brothers and sisters, to show our ultimate unity and support for them by calling for their release immediately and unconditionally.

The following dates are set to have demonstrations to call for the release of all political prisoners in Burma:

Date : 9th and 23rd June (Thursdays)

: 7th and 21st July (Thursdays)

: 8th and 18th August (Thursdays)

: 1st September ( Thursday)

Time : 12:00 to 1:00pm

Venue: Burmese military regime embassy

19A Charles Street, London W1J 5DX

Thanking in advance for your support!

In solidarity,
